  • Your journey begins with an early morning flight from Kolkata to Mumbai. After landing, take a cab from the airport to your hotel in Dadar (E). Depending on the time and weather, you can either take a half-day ferry tour to the Elephanta Caves from the Gateway of India or visit local landmarks like the Haji Ali Dargah, Siddhivinayak Temple, and Marine Drive.

Spend the day exploring the city via a “Mumbai Darshan” bus tour. This tour is a cost-effective way to see major attractions, with a convenient pick-up and drop-off point at Gurudwara, opposite Chitra Cinema near Dadar (E). You will stay overnight at your hotel in Mumbai.

Head to the coast for a full-day tour of Alibaug and Murud Janjira. The fastest route is via ferry from the Gateway of India to Mandwa Jetty. Prioritize visiting the historic Murud Janjira Fort first. If time permits on your way back, you can explore Alibaug Beach, Nagaon Beach, or Revdanda Fort before returning to Mumbai for the night.

Transition to the heritage phase of your trip by taking a train from Dadar Junction around noon. You will reach Aurangabad by evening and transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Dedicate this day to exploring the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ajanta. Located about 110km from Aurangabad, this complex features approximately 30 caves. Use the local shuttle bus to reach the main cave area and enjoy the onsite canteen facilities. Stay overnight in Aurangabad.

Visit the Ellora Caves, which are 29km from the city and consist of 34 caves. If your schedule allows, visit Daulatabad Fort or Bibi Ka Maqbara before heading to the Aurangabad Railway Station. You will then board an overnight train to Pune.

After reaching Pune early in the morning, head straight to the hill station of Mahabaleshwar. Your sightseeing will include Arthur’s Seat, Elephant’s Head Point, and Kate’s Point. In the late afternoon, visit the Mahabaleshwar Temple and Pratapgad Fort before staying overnight in Mahabaleshwar

Begin your day at Venna Lake and Lingamala Waterfall. Afterward, head to Panchgani to explore Mapro Garden, Parsi Point, and Table Land. Once finished, travel back to Pune to stay overnight.

This is a flexible day where you can opt for a day tour to Lonavala to visit Lions Point, Bushi Dam, and the Karla Caves. Alternatively, you can spend the day sightseeing in Pune at places like Aga Khan Palace or Shaniwar Wada. Spend your final night in Pune.

Use your final morning for local Pune sightseeing or picking up last-minute souvenirs. Ensure you leave for the Pune International Airport early—at least 2 to 3 hours before your flight—as the area near Pimpri often experiences heavy traffic. You will then fly back to Kolkata.
